Hiking in the Redwood Grove

Hiking in the Redwood Grove

I went hiking in the Redwood grove forest recently, and honestly, it was completely different from what I expected.

I had normal expectations going in, I thought it would be like any other hike, a cool scene at the top, but no, it shattered my expectations.

The first thing I noticed was how ambient it was. You could hear the sound of a water droplet, every croak, every leaf stepped on. This made my friend group slow down and enjoy, so the hike took longer than expected.

The trees were of course red, they weren’t anything special but the environment was different, there were birds, squrriels, even hawks. The hike itself wans’t super hard, it was mostly walking through shaded trails, there was a nice lake halfway through, where me and my friends had lunch.

This was what I needed from everything, school, stess. Being out here makes everthing feel so calm. Overall, it wasn’t some kind of crazy mountain hike, it was a simple and needed reset for me.
