First golf match

My first match in high school at Riverview Golf Course will forever stay in my mind as an exciting and emotional event! We were up against Orange and I could hardly wait to put my skills to the test after practicing so hard. Ended up finishing the round shooting 3 over par and won as a team which added to the incredible day.

I feel like I played good solid golf. I didn’t have a birdie, which was slightly disappointing, but I was able to stay consistent by making a par on all but 2 of the holes I played, and I made no big errors. Overall, I was happy to stay positive and keep my score at reasonable levels all the way through the round without making a birdie.

Talking with new people during my round with Orange was another thing that I enjoyed! I met several players from the other team who I shared some laughs with along the way; this turned what would have been just another match into an enjoyable experience. Overall, it was a fantastic match for me as a player; my team got the W, I shot a 3 over par and now I cannot wait for the rest of the season.
